How to Talk to Your Kids About Nutrition so They Know Why You're Asking Them to Eat Healthy

1.) Don't talk about "good" or "bad" foods.

TELL THEM:

2.) Protein builds muscle and we need a lot of it at every meal.

3.) Sugar weakens your immune system.

4.) Antioxidants fight inflammation.

5.) Fiber helps you digest your food.

It's not about raising "good eaters". It's about setting them up for a long, healthy, vibrant, pain-free life.

It's about not having them question whether the foods their parents served them as kids is the reason their chronically ill as adults.

TEACH YOUR KIDS THE WHY BEHIND THE NUTRITIOUS FOODS YOU SERVE.

Stop making it about them.

They're not good or bad for eating vegetables.

Vegetables contain vitamins, minerals, protein, fiber, antioxidants, etc.

➡️ Vitamins and minerals keep our immune system strong.

➡️ A strong immune system helps us not get super sick for super long.

➡️ Fiber helps your poops come out easily

➡️ Antioxidants fight cancer

We've all gotten super sick before. Everyone knows someone who's had cancer. And we've all had hard-to-move poops.

Keep talking about it.

They'll understand.

I promise.

The more you do, the more you'll start to hear THEM talk about it.

I'm always shocked and amazed when I hear things like "vitamin C", "protein" and "fiber" come out of my daughter's mouth when she's talking about food.

Proof that the more you share with your kids, the more they absorb.

Keep going Mom and Dad. You're doing great!!
