I've tried every sugar-free, good quality electrolyte packet on the market, and this is what they all have in common:
They all cost about $2/packet.
Tired of spending that much on proper hydration??! Or want to be prepared to stay hydrated even if you run out of electrolyte packets?
Try this instead:
HOMEMADE FLARE FREE ELECTROLYTE DRINK:
1/2 lemon
1/2 orange (optional)
1/4 tsp pink Himalayan salt or Celtic sea salt
2 tsp granulated stevia/monk fruit/allulose
12 - 32 oz. filtered water (to your taste)
Place citrus juice, salt, and sweetener in a 12 oz. glass and mix until sweetener dissolves.
Top with water then taste and adjust if needed.
NOTES:
Get funky with it and add a splash of 100% no sugar added organic juice like tart cherry juice, pomegranate juice, grapefruit juice, etc. to switch up the flavors if you'd like.
Sometimes I drink this full-strength over ice; other times I drink it diluted at room temp. Depends on what my taste buds are calling for at that time. There's no rules. Fix it how you like!
Too many electrolytes can cause diarrhea. Two glasses a day is usually the max. You have been warned. 🤣
